Course Description

This course is designed as a low-cost solution for AVLI member schools in meeting their state’s financial literacy requirements. Students work independently through a series of course modules. Successful completion of all modules and correlating assessments indicates student competency.

Though this course is designed to allow individual students to work at their own pace, that doesn’t mean they are completely alone. Technical support is always available through AVLI. In addition, Arrupe Virtual will send regular reports to host schools, students, and parents to help them monitor student progress.

There are 6 learning modules in the course followed by a synthesis exercise. The learning modules are:

  • Introduction: Money and Markets Basics

  • Your Life as a Producer

  • Budgeting, Saving, and Spending

  • Investing

  • Money Management - Credit and Risk

  • Starting Out - Major Purchase Considerations
